Spread the love

Travel items don’t have to break the bank! There seems to be an endless list of travel accessories out there. We have collected a lot of data over the years of me buying way too much on Amazon for our travels and either them breaking, us throwing them away, or just collecting dust. My husband is the opposite of my home-self. He is someone who obsessively researches anything we do: from the best TV or smart home devices down to the right toothbrush for home and toothbrush for travel we should buy. We have compiled this list to help other travel lovers travel faster, easier, cheaper and better. After our research, here’s our top 25 under $25 you can find on Amazon today! These are good travel gifts for travel lovers, or pick them up for yourself. You can also use many of these items at home even if you aren’t traveling! Some of them may surprise you…

Silk Sleep Mask – $10

This was a GAME CHANGER! My husband needs everything to be pitch black to fall asleep, which is hard to find when traveling in most places. I bought him this silk sleep mask as a gift after our first Skype date night where we stayed up past 3am, which meant he had to sleep during the day! Since then, he doesn’t travel anywhere without it. Do yourself a favor, get this for home and for travel!

Rechargable Battery Pack – $25

After our cell phones kept dying after long travel days, we knew that a rechargable battery pack was essential to our travels. It is small enough to keep in most purses or backpacks and you can charge while you are exploring without needed an outlet or plug! We have had ours for 5 years and it is still working great! Make sure to charge it before leaving for your next adventure.

RFID Blocking Travel Wallet – $10

RFID Blocking – electromagnetically opaque shielding material. It secures your RFID Chip enabled Credit Cards from illegal scanning! Technology is so advanced these days that we recommend traveling with one of these to keep your credit cards safe.

2-in-1 Passport Holder & Pill Organizer – $18

We love this 2-in-1! It is a great space to host our passports and important documents while also allowing us to put our vitamins in for each day of travel. We also include ibuprofen, tums and allergy meds just in case.

Travel Shoe Bags – $10

Lets face it – when you are traveling around the world, your shoes are stepping onto dirty streets and then you put them back into your suitcase with your clothes to fester. Yuck! We use to just use Target plastic bags but in an effort to be more environmentally conscious, we invested in these Shoe Bags that we can wash after each trip and make sure bacteria isn’t being transferred onto all of our stuff!

Travel Airplane Footrest – $8

Okay, this feels like it was made for me. I am someone who needs to put their feet up anytime I sit down. With airplanes shortening the distance where your legs are and getting more and more expensive to get upgraded, this is a great travel gift for yourself or your fellow travel lovers!

Supergoop! Everyday SPF 50 – $22

This I got from a super fabulous classmate of mine that loves skincare. I have been terrible at it, going out in the sun without sunscreen and not putting moisturizer on. No wonder I have so many sunspots and wrinkles starting! The Supergoop! original. This water-resistant formula is perfect for everyday use on face and body. It’s fast-absorbing and lightweight, but with ultra-moisturizing results. And, it’s made with natural extracts of citrus, basil, and bois de rose, so you’ll leave that typical sunscreen smell behind. Best part, it is 2.4 fl oz so you can bring it with you in your bag!

Resistance Bands – $17

You might think walking around is enough to combat all the yummy food you eat while traveling but it can leave you lethargic, with less energy to enjoy your travels! We like to back two of these bands when traveling. They are extremely light-weight and barely take up space. You can use at home whenever you have a moment, or take it with you anywhere anytime! We use it in our hotel room before we head out for the day to stay in shape by using these resistance bands.

Smart Touch Gloves – $25

We tend to travel in warmer weather but in Japan and Argentina in the colder months, we needed to wear gloves! When you’re traveling and wanting to take pictures or check messages, taking your gloves on and off because a hassle. We loved these because you can stay warm with the soft stretch fleece lining and as well stay connected with smarTouch touchscreen technology in thumbs and index fingers, which enables smart phone and tablet use, allowing you to tap and swipe with precision and ease while keeping hands warm in the cold weather!

Bag Bungee – $14

Carry more with less effort with the Bag Bungee. It attaches easily to the handle system of any wheeled luggage item, including single pole or double pole handles and secures a second bag to the handle. The two items move as one. We usually have to add our backpacks and do this weird criss-cross with the straps onto the luggage handle to keep it on. This avoids all of that!

Toiletry Carry On Bag – $13

Even if you has TSA precheck or Global Entry, we have been stopped before in Greece and London to make sure we only had the right size liquid. This TSA approved toiletry bag is extremely helpful when passing through airport security. This 1-quart bag is a no-hassle way to pass through security with your carry-on liquids and it’s compliant with TSA 3-1-1 regulations. It is also waterproof and holds small toiletries, cosmetics, and travel-sized bottles.

Infinity Travel Scarf w/ Hidden Compartments – $19

IT HAS POCKETS (I had to say it)! If you want to stay warm, stay fashionable AND hold a phone or wallet, this is a fun travel accessory.

Universal Power Adapter – $13

I hate to admit it but I broke a hair dryer when we were in London because I didn’t have the right adapter. It was my favorite one, too! We have learned from that trip to always keep a universal power adapter handy so no matter the country, we are ready to get charged!

Samsung 128GB Memory Card – $22

The worst feeling is getting to a location and not having enough memory to save photos or videos! Backed by 4-proof protection, the EVO Select can withstand up to 72 hours in seawater*, extreme temperatures**, airport X-ray machines up to 50 Roentgen and magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss (equivalent to an MRI scanner). (See page disclaimer)

Travel Garment Steamer – $19

Every hotel or AirBnB is different. Although many of them carry an iron, they may not have a steamer or their iron might be of low quality. You are traveling to a new place, most likely going to take photos and videos, so using this travel garment steamer is a great choice!

Travel Laundry Detergent – $9

Doing your laundry in most hotels will cost you $6 a shirt! If you are packing light, have a stain you want to get out or if you just don’t want to pay those prices, these handy packets help you wash clothes in the sink and are TSA compliant!

Travel Laundry Bag – $12

Speaking of laundry, every day when you are out and about, you get back to your hotel and AirBnb and do what with your dirty clothes? Hopefully not mix them back into your suitcase before heading to the next city! Instead of wasting plastic Target bags, invest in these inexpensive laundry bags that you can clean and reuse over and over again!

Compression Packing Cubes – $20

These compression cubes are great! We don’t use all of them: we use one for intimates and one for dresses or large items. This allows those items to be stored safely and compartmentalized so it is easy to find later! Then we use the Mari-condo method of folding to finish up.

Collapsible Water Bottle – $25

Want to be environmentally friendly and save money while not breaking the bank? This collapsible water bottle is great for getting through TSA precheck and not paying $5 for a water bottle at the airport or while out on an adventure. You can save a lot of money too by refilling these at the hotel gym or front desk before heading out to explore! Once you are done, you can shrink it to a smaller size and pack it away.

Fold-able Rain Jacket – $22

You never know how the weather can change from one moment to another in a different state or country. What you can do is be prepared! Rain jackets can be bulky but this uni-sex rain jacket folds up into a 7 in x 7 in case so it is easy to pack, easy to carry and easy to put on!

Headphone Audio Splitter – $11

Sometimes it is nice to watch your own movie on the plane, but other times it is nice to watch a movie with your friend or partner! Instead of trying to sync your devices, try this! We bought an audio splitter and it can be used on planes, during picnics, long walks, anywhere!

Goodr Sunglasses – $25

My husband has been obsessed with Goodr Sunglasses for a while now. After he lost his expensive Oakleys, he was on a hunt to find some new sunglasses. He liked these because of the vibe, the attributes, and the fact that they were economically priced! Also, they are hilarious. Please check out their website for the names and identities of their sunglasses for a good laugh.

Travel Door Alarm – $25

After my husband’s hotel room was broken into in Las Vegas, we were looking at different options to make sure it wouldn’t happen again. These portable travel door alarms are really loud (130dB) and is easy to set up. Not only can you use this during travel, but you can also use it at home to help keep children and the elderly safe!

TSA Approved Luggage Locks – $20

Safety is a big issue for us and we make sure to comply with TSA while also keeping our luggage from sneaky fingers!

Luggage Tags – $6

Ever had a problem where you bag looks like someone else’s bag? Or MULTIPLE someone else’s bag? These luggage tags can really help decipher the right one. We don’t recommend putting personal information on it because then people know a lot about you; however, find one that is your favorite color or has a picture of a hobby or interest of yours!

We hope this was helpful! These are great gifts for avid travel adventurers to casual travel lovers! Next, we will create a post on great Amazon finds for travelers for under $50 with must haves like tripods!
